A Man With a Plan Gets Fired: General Stan McChrystal Fired by President Obama

Good day to you fellow citizens. Today I went to the beach and barely had anytime time to check the news. If I had checked the news, I would have learned about the outcome of the comments made by General Stanley McChrystal about the Obama administration and other key political figures in a Rolling Stones article. Now, as a citizen, I have no official political stance (left wing or right wing, conservative or liberal) and as a person I go with what I think is right as I am free to do so. Anyway, let's stay on topic here. In a Rolling Stones article published on I believe June 22, 2010 (readers please confirm that), General McChrystal made a few comments about the Obama administration which I'll admit, was a tad bit offensive. However, I don't believe that the President has made the right choice in ordering General McChrystal to step down from his role as supreme commander of allied forces in Afghanistan. Now first of all, I criticize McChrystal for even saying things like that to a reporter. Personally I feel as though if hold certain feeling about something and you are of that great amount of importance, then you should never let them those feeling leave your mouth...around a reporter. A reporter's job and livelihood is reporting what he or she sees and hears, especially from important people such as the commander of allied forces in Afghanistan where a major war is raging. Now to more important part. I dont believe that Obama should have made this man step down or do anything to lead to it. Yes, I totally understand that as Commander-in-Chief you cannot tolerate a top official saying things like that publicly. However, you're letting your personal feelings cause you to trade a very talented military commander and strategist for another who is not capable of handling the situation. I intend no offense to General Petraeus, the man who'll be taking over McChrystal's role, however Petraeus served in Iraq and in my opinion he did a very good job. Also, McChrystal served in Afghanistan and up until his termination was doing a very good job handling the situation. The bottom line is this; IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN ARE TWO TOTALLY DIFFERENT PLACES AND TWO TOTALLY DIFFERENT SITUATIONS. Petraeus' efforts are needed elsewhere and I feel as if firing McChrystal could literally come back to bite country in the A**. When I say that what I mean exactly is that this country will literally lose out in the sense of the tactical and strategic ability that General McChrystal brings to the table. I play sports for my school but I dont indulge in them like other people do, however, if your team is struggling in a game that they absolutely need to win and you have a someone who isnt exactly a team player but very effective, you put him in regardless of if he bad mouths the coach. Also, on another personal note, I am seriouslybeginning to consider some of the rumors that are floating around out there that Obama is actually afraid of McChrystal because he used to be a "spook". A spook is someone wwho usually works for the government in clasndestine or otherwise black ops missions. These kinds of people are often referred to as spooks because they are usually very dark and secretive, and sometimes even deadly. But anyway, I'm not going to go into detail about my opinions as I am not exactly sure this blog has enough webspace to hold what I have to say. So I leave you with this statement for you to think on it and formulate your own opinion. If you have something to share just comment the posts and I'll get back to you aas soon as possible. Have a blessed day.

When The Man Comes Around

Hey to like the two people who read this. I know I haven't updated this thing in like forever but I'm back baby....with a vengeance (not really). I've been really busy with school, work, and other thing. However, you guys can definately expect to see some new stuff up here because I've been having some pretty crazy thoughts and realizations and I'd love to share them with you guys. I still don't know why I'm writing this like there is more than one person that actually reads this. I think my sister is basically the only person that does. Anyway, back to the point. Well actually I just made my point. I'm watching NCIS right now,so I think I might write something about it just to get warmed up.

First Black President

So I know that I'm like two and a half weeks late with this but, wow, a black president of the United States. I have a strange feeling that the next few years are going to get quite interesting. You think that when Bush messed up, they criticized him, wait till one thing happens. and it's probably going to be something out of his control too. I kind of feel bad for him because he has more responsibility than other people. On one side he has a pretty large group of people who unofficially but subconsciously want him to fail. Then on the other side he has an even larger group of people who I'm almost sure he is afraid of letting down. Not just black Americans, but people all over the world. On inauguration day it was said that there were hildren in Indonesia who were watching because they believed that he wouldn't just make a change in America, but a change worldwide. I guess you could compare it to when Nelson Mandela came into office in 1994 for the Presidency of South Africa. If you don't know why that is so significant and think "hey it's Africa, everyone is black", here's why. South Africa was once separated by asometing called Apartheid. Apartheid was basically the slavery of black Africans by the white Africans. They were told wwhere to work and live and treated horribly. They were harrassed and beaten and many of them starved. There was basically no hope for them whatsoever. After a long political battle it was ended and the main activist for thsi fight was released from jail. He ran for president and won. So that's why that story is so similar to the Obama story. Except Obama never went to jail for advocating freedom for blacks. But the was slavery in the US and then after that was oppression in the form of segregation. I guess you could also compare segregationg t Apartheid, but they're not quite the same.

So anyway back to the real subject at hand. Barack Obama has a lot to do and I bet he's feeling the pressure right now. What really doesn't help either is all the blacks that act so stupid on the eve of his career. The Obama hope image isn't the only doctored image out there. Thhey have so many other pictures that depict him as some sort of superhero. Doesn't anyone know that he is just a regular human being. I get little annoyed when I try to have a conversation about the economy and all the person can do is talk about what Obama is going to do and how it will all stop, this especially happens with black americans. I hope you all know that he's not God. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying he's not capable of anything, in fact he could probably do a lot but I believe it's really up to God. He is just a human. For example, I was corresponding with a friend via the internet and we got into a conversatgion about the economy and I must have typed like two paragraphs and all he could write back was, "Barack gon make all that better for everybody, there's gonna be change". throughout the entire campaign and right up to inauguration day even to today if you ask a Black person why they voted for Obama they'll just tell you that they want change. So if you do get in that situation, ask them what exactly it is that they want him to change. they'll probably tell you something about jobs and the economy, but I bet they can't explain what it is exactly that needs to be changed for the economy to turn around. My opinion is that one thing led to another and another until we reached the point that we are at now. So these are my thoughts on Barack Obama becoming president.

People Look At Me Funny Because I Don't Really Like Rap

Just because I'm black and don't listen to rap ( Hah...that rhymes...aint that somethin lol) people look at me funny. Should I think that the people who think I'm a weirdo because I don't don't like rap music are just a bunch of stereotypical idiots who need to open their mind just a little wider. Yes at one point I did listen to rap. When I was 8 I was like obsessed with 50 Cent and G-Unit....wow!!! I can hear the gunshots in their songs ringing in my ears again. But yeah anyway, I used to absolutely dig that whole I'm so cool because i'm a gangsta and I run this and I run that....whatever dude. 50 Cent always seemed to be a cool guy, sort of like a role model, but now that I'm older and I start to think about it, he's a drug dealing ex-con who swears that he killed people....he even made a movie about it. Wow, he's a real character to look up to...huh? Then there was the time where I was obsessed with the rap group Mobb Deep (who later got signed to G-Unit). After I heard the song Got It twisted...it was like the first time I had fell in love. I searched everywhere on the internet for their music because for some reason I just didn't realize that I could just go out and buy their CD. Then came the song Numb/Encore where Jay-Z and Linkin Park came together o make a beautiful work of art. After that I'll just tell you that nature took its course. I stopped listening to rap over time to the point where I pretty much cut it out of my music diet. But like the health people said, a little from each group is what builds a healthy body... I guess it's kinda weird that I'm comparing music to food....but whatever....anyhow, I like rock but not heavy rock like metal or anything, and I don't like any of the demonic bands that play soft rock. Punk seems to be working out well for me.

Dispute about my heritage

A couple people seem to always say that I'm not really Jamaican, but I really am. They honestly don't know what hey're talking about. So here's the rundown. My parents were born and raised in Jamaica. I myself was born in Philadelphia but later moved back to Jamaica a while later where I was raise till about age 6. We moved to the US because of a birth injury that I recieved here that needed to be treated so that my arm pretty much didn't go dead. I'm a citizen there and here. I've been back one time since and I'm going again next month. So some people who love to open their mouth a little too much always seem to dispute the fact that I acually am a Jamaican. I live in a hous where my mother constantly speaks like she still is in Jamaica, i hang around Jamaicans all the time, I go to parties filled with Jamaicans, I eat what would be considered Jamaican food, but still, some people still say that I'm not jamaican. I also pretty much know everything there is to know about Jamaica. So what do you think?

What do you think of George Bush?

What are your personal feelings about our "ever so great" leader? Would you say that everything is his fault? or would you agree with Hugo Chavez that he's the freakin devil ?

PLEASE NO THREATS!!!!

Hillary Clinton

I'm glad that barack Obama won the Democratic nomination....really I am. But am I the only one who seems to notice or care that during the entire nomination campaign Hillary Clinton did everything she could do to trash Obama and make herself look like she had nothing to do with it. Now that he won, she wants to to be his best friend....OH WOW! Can someone say two faced. Anyhow, I hope he's not stupid enough to let her be his Vice President. I mean seriously, does she really have what it takes to be the next President or Vice President of the United States of America. Her being a woman has nothing to do with my lack of confidence in her. Believe me, I'm Jamaican and the last Prime Minister before the current one was a woman named portia Simpson (Great Lady). So there are a lot of women out there who have what it takes to lead a country...just ot Clinton. Plus I think she's doing it to get back at her ex-husband. I guess if I were a woman married to the President and he got caught getting oral sex from his secretary I'd get back at him by becoming the President myself. She's also kinda prune faced. She looks like she's sucking on something sour everytime I see her.
